It’s the 10th Blogaversary of LFI

Life,for instance was launched in November of 2010 – a whole ten years ago.  So much has changed since then – or has it?

I started a blog as a way of creating a marketing platform for the book I was writing at the time, The Happy Place.  But it became more than that on multiple levels.

It was because of LFI an online International Mastermind group was formed, a group that evolved into a Community

It was because of the members of the International Mastermind Community that I recognized I have always been a Community builder.  No one was surprised when I told them I was going to write a book about Community building.

Fast forward through earning a Master of Organizational Management degree and relocation to Ottawa, to the federal incorporation of my Kalliergo Community Building company and you’re all caught up!

At the beginning here on the LFI porch, we talked about small issues like, how do you feel about snow days, and do you like surprises, things like that.  Today, we discuss bigger issues.

Like Community.

Since COVID-19 struck, we have heard the word Community more than ever before.  But what is Community?  How do groups become Communities?  How can one facilitate this process?

These are the questions discussed on the LFI porch these days.  A search of this site produces over 130 posts about Community.  Seems I’ve been writing about Community for ten years now.

Recently I started a Special Community Builders Contact List to gather people who want to help spread Community consciousness with me.  If you would like to join us, click here.

As I said, (and how much do you wanna bet I’ll keep on saying it?);

It’s going to take a lot of us to change the world.

About The Author

I have always loved writing and community building. I’ve written a book about healing and happiness, The Happy Place, as well as a Community Building book, Sounding the Drum: Community Building in the Digital Age,both available at any Amazon store. I’ve been through life changes that I thought were the end of my world, but I’m still here. You never know what will happen next. Isn’t that what makes life interesting?
